Ten exciting Melbourne tours are available in The Asia-Pacific Incentives and Meetings Expo (AIME), in a new and exciting addition to the 2017 Hosted Buyer program.

Melbourne Convention Bureau (MCB) has partnered with a selection of venues, accommodation and attractions across the broad business events sector, presenting unique products and services that best showcase Melbourne to international and domestic event organisers.

The ten carefully curated tours are designed to immerse hosted buyers in the culture, environment, cuisine and hospitality of Melbourne, which has been ranked as the World’s Most Liveable City for the sixth consecutive year by Economist Intelligence Unit.

With each tour visiting three locations, attendees are given the chance to celebrate Melbourne’s obsession with all-things-coffee at a riverfront brunch, design a meditation journey for delegates at the Novotel on Collins, fly a scenic loop around the city’s most iconic landmarks in a helicopter, or explore the MCG on a custom tour of the arena and unique back of house areas.

These are just some of the sensational experiences tour-goers will enjoy as part of AIME’s 25th anniversary celebrations, with opportunity for both event buyers and organisers to be immersed in the personality and vibrancy of Melbourne.

“Business events are the highest yielding sector of the visitor economy, delivering $9.8 billion to the Victorian economy annually. For AIME’s 25th anniversary we wanted to showcase the diversity of Melbourne to the hundreds of domestic and international hosted buyers in a distinctive way,” said Karen Bolinger, Chief Executive Officer of the Melbourne Convention Bureau.

“The tours highlight our world-class venues, food and beverage, entertainment and accommodation. With so many partners involved in the development of these tailored experiences, it exemplifies how collaborative Melbourne is,” she added.

There are unique opportunities for Hosted buyers attending AIME 2017 as well. Industry-leading education programs, peer-to-peer networking sessions, and complimentary travel and luxury accommodation are just a few.
