Conference Shop tries out its newest destination

The Conference Shop recently took to the road to explore the Mid North Coast of New South Wales – the newest addition to its portfolio of regional destinations.

The website specialises in regional destinations, making it quick and easy for corporate event planners to source regional venues and event suppliers.

Just one hours flight time from Sydney or Brisbane, the region encompasses the towns of Coffs Harbour, Bellingen, Nambucca, Kempsey, Port Macquarie – Hastings and Greater Taree. It also includes the World Heritage Area of Lord Howe Island, about 600km east of Port Macquarie.

Conference Shop chief executive Carla Offord was impressed by the coastal climate, “lush” hinterland and over 100 kms of beaches.

“When you think of the Mid North Coast, most of the time you think of a fun holiday destination, but after seeing the region and how much it has to offer corporate clients, I have rekindled my love affair with the area,” she said.

The team visited more than 40 suppliers including beach side venues, floating venues, local vineyards, a brewery, a variety of attractions such as The Big Banana and the Dolphin Marine Magic Park.

In addition, they tried out some of the experiences on offer for incentives and team building which included a one on one with a dolphin, surfing, serene paddle boarding and kayaking, whale watching, game fishing, high speed jet boating and a breath taking, high speed jet aircraft ride as well as wine and beer tasting.
