It’s the Big Cheese with Megan Peters!

It’s the Big Cheese with Megan Peters!

We chat with Megan Peters, Event Director at International Productions and new MEA NSW Chair.

The great thing about my job is… the variety of events and clients I work with.

The challenge for industry is… constantly creating something new.

My greatest achievement is… my daughter, Zoe.

The biggest thing in MICE this year will be… the MEA National Conference (with my NSW Chair hat on)

I try to relax by… spending time with my family and my dog, Izzy.

I don’t understand why… the World Series is called the World Series when it is only played in the USA and Canada; documents are “typed up” but “written down”; the numbers on a phone go one way, but on a calculator they go the other way; British people never sound British when they sing; there is a light in the fridge but not the freezer; it is called a building when it is already built…?

My favourite venue is… the dog park on a Sunday.

I’ve always wanted to travel to… Spain.

I am scared to death of… a world shortage of hazelnuts resulting in no Nutella or Ferrero Rochers.

I can’t live without… my phone charger.

I really wish I had… the power of teleportation.

If I could invite four people to a dinner party, they’d be… Sheldon Cooper, Prince Harry, Barney Stinson and my husband.

For anyone starting out in the industry one piece of advice I’d give would be… treat everyone with respect – you never know if your supplier or your colleague will become your client in a future role.
