MEA unveils 2017 conference program

Meetings & Events Australia (MEA) has lifted the curtain and revealed its snazzy program for the 2017 National Conference, which comes with the theme “Reboot”.

The Conference will be held at the new ICC Sydney from 30 April to 2 May 2017.

CEO, Robyn Johnson, said, “The conference program has been developed over months of consultation and meetings with the MEA membership and the broader events industry.

“The aim has been to deliver a program that reflected the Reboot theme which symbolises the new direction our organisation is taking in order to better serve the membership and the events sector. It also reflects the redevelopment of the Sydney Convention Centre and the Darling Harbour precinct as one of the country’s top events precincts.”

The MEA Reboot Conference operates to deliver delegates the latest in event trends and to provide a platform for new product announcements and updates.

This year’s conference will have a new approach, with a major focus on four disciplines –
business, professional development, industry trends and operations.

A number of our key plenary sessions will be presented by international speakers, with one special highlight in the form of a session presented by Catherine Simmons, vice president, Dreamforce.

Simmons oversees the management of the Salesforce corporate event held in San Francisco each year. This event is one of the largest technology conferences in the world, drawing more than 170,000 registered attendees in 2016.

There are more than 24 sessions plus six “hands on” workshops designed to upgrade or introduce new skills to delegates.
