One&Only Hayman Island closed until 2018

One&Only Hayman Island has temporarily closed due to the impact of Cyclone Debbie, which rocked the QLD coast of Australia a couple of weeks ago.

The Whitsundays was the worst hit by the category four storm, where gusts of up to 190 kilometres per hour barrelled the natural and tourist attractions.

On their website, the hotel has posted a statement which reads:

“Please note that we are currently unable to accept new reservations until mid-2018. We will continue to provide updates through our recovery. Thank you for your continued support during this time.

“One&Only Hayman Island looks forward to welcoming you back to a rejuvenated resort upon our reopening and to introducing elevated experiences in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef.

“In the meantime, we invite you to discover our other One&Only Resorts. If you have specific questions, please feel free to contact our Team at reservations@oneandonlyresorts.com.”
