The Big Cheese with cievents’ Natalie Simmons

The Big Cheese with cievents’ Natalie Simmons

In this week’s Big Cheese industry profile, we shine the spotlight on cievents global general manager, Natalie Simmons, although we used a softer light so as not to hurt her eyes.

The great thing about my job is… the people I work with, and the privilege our clients provide us to create something unique & new every day.

The challenge for industry is… to stay at the forefront of trends, product & technology in an ever changing market.

My greatest achievement is… finding what I love to do everyday

The biggest thing in MICE this year will be… consolidation and visibility across MICE activities for our corporate customers

I try to relax by….. catching up with family & friends over a good meal, good wine & enjoying my home town of Sydney

I don’t understand why… some people who choose to work in a team are not team players.

My favourite venue is… the large armchair in my home overlooking the bays of Sydney

I’ve always wanted to travel to… Morocco

I am scared to death of… deadly insects, in fact I’m not a fan of any creepy crawlies

I can’t live without… my family & friends

I really wish I had… a dog & of course some more time in the day…I don’t think I’m alone on this one.

If I could invite four people to a dinner party, they’d be… Graham Norton, Raf Simons, Hillary Mantel, Anna Wintour.

For anyone starting out in the industry one piece of advice I’d give would be… To do everything, take any opportunity that comes your way and give everything a go, it’s a journey and you will learn something new every day as you long as you’re open to it – it is an amazing industry!
