The Big Cheese with Hong Kong Tourism’s Lisa Lee

In this week’s Big Cheese interview, we catch up with Lisa Lee, Manager – Trade Marketing & Business Tourism, for Hong Kong Tourism Board.

The great thing about my job is… the people you meet and get to know both professionally and personally. Im learning each day.

The challenge for industry is… keeping up with all the changes.

My greatest achievement is… being a working mum.

The biggest thing in MICE this year will be… Hong Kong, of course!  There is certainly a renewed interest in Hong Kong. New hotels are springing up, venues are expanding and air capacity is increasing.

I try to relax by… spending time with family and friends.  They keep me sane!

I don’t understand why… we don’t just pick up the phone!  Im guilty of that too!

My favourite venue is… anything by the water.

I’ve always wanted to travel to… Costa Rica.  I have a whole side of the family that Ive never met.

I am scared to death of… I’m not scared of death!

I can’t live without… my wonderful husband, Kevin and son, Hudson

I really wish I had… more time each day but, hey,  “time flies when you are having fun”

If I could invite four people to a dinner party, they’d be… Donald Trump (I just need to ask, WHY!), Meryl Streep (how interesting would that be), Jim Parsons aka Sheldon Cooper (I’m a big fan) and Adam Liaw (someone has to do the cooking).

For anyone starting out in the industry one piece of advice I’d give would be….  Listen, learn and love what you are doing.
