This is Gold Coast rates highly with buyers

Hosted buyers who attended This is Gold Coast Business Exchange last month have rated the event highly, revealing they are more likely to book a business event on the Gold Coast.

Record numbers attended the annual showcase for meeting planners, with 56 meeting influencers and media partners hosted by Gold Coast Business Events, in collaboration with industry partners.

The event showcased the city‘s capabilities as a destination for conferences and meetings with highlights including events at InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort, The Star Gold Coast, Sea World Resort & Conference Centre and RACV Royal Pines Resort. Buyers also met with Gold Coast suppliers in over 860 pre-scheduled appointments at Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Survey results from hosted buyers revealed that 83 per cent of respondents were more likely to book the Gold Coast for a future business event as a result of attending This is Gold Coast. The event clearly hit the mark with buyers, with 96 per cent indicating they were ‘extremely satisfied’ or ‘highly satisfied’ with the overall program.

Director of Gold Coast Business Events, Anna Case said the event enabled buyers to learn more about the destination and the Gold Coast’s business event offering.

“This is Gold Coast offers the ultimate ‘seeing is believing’ opportunity for our decision makers, and these results indicate they were clearly impressed with their experience.

“Seeing first-hand the venues, meeting our suppliers and seeing our local specialists create unforgettable events has resulted in most of these buyers excited to host their next business event on the Gold Coast,” she said.
